Every piece reflected a unique vision, and there was plenty of laughter, conversation, and artistic exploration along the way.

It’s TACO Tuesday, and at TAG we found art to help you celebrate. 🌮🎨

Did you know tacos have even made their way into the world of fine art? One of the most notable artists to explore this idea is photographer Chuck Ramirez, whose “Breakfast Tacos” series transforms everyday food into powerful still-life images.

His work, now in the Smithsonian American Art Museum collection, elevates something as simple as a taco into a reflection of culture, memory, and daily life—proving that beauty often lives in the ordinary.

So today we’re celebrating Taco Tuesday not just as a meal, but as a little moment of art in itself.

Now we want to hear from you—where do you, our followers like to get their tacos in the Northern Neck? 🌮👇

Wilting flowers, glistening aluminum foil holding half-eaten breakfast tacos, cups of coffee, and two local and national beer standards – Lone Star (the “national” beer of Texas) and Miller Lite – all populate Ramirez’s contemporary still life.

“Because ties wear out, but art lasts a lifetime.”

This Father’s Day, skip the ordinary and give a gift with a story.

An original piece of art is more than a present—it’s a lasting reminder of a special relationship. Whether your father loves the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, our rivers, local landscapes, wildlife, boats, history, or contemporary art, a unique work created by a local artist can become something he treasures for years to come.

The Tappahannock Artists Guild Gallery offers a wide variety of original paintings and photography created by talented regional artists. When you purchase art from a local gallery, you’re not only giving a meaningful gift to someone you love, you’re also supporting the artists who help make our community vibrant and creative.

Stop by the gallery and discover a Father’s Day gift that’s as unique as he is.
