We are the Martinez Hacienda and the Blumenschein Home & Museum. We display many of our wonderful historical artifacts. We aim to educate the public on their importance, and the importance of Taos history. We offer many events, such as: the annual Fandango amd Old Taos Trade Fair, as well as gallery openings.

Firing up the horno and baking bread at 1:17! We had such an amazing time on this shoot with Pati Jinich for her new season of PanAmericana.

Mateo and Laura from Adobe in Action were hosting an adobe work party on their adobe homesite (filmed by PBS) and they invited us to feed their work party by firing up the adobe horno we built in the park nearby. 🧱

Our Director of Pueblo Foods, Henrietta Gomez of Taos Pueblo, led the bake — cooking red chile bison stew and green chile chicken posole outdoors over the fire, and baking yeast bread in the horno. 🔥

And after a looong day making adobes and building with adobes, the entire team of adoberos, volunteers, and PBS production crew members gathered in the park at Taos Land Trust for a shared meal of Taos Pueblo Feast Day foods.

Can't wait for the episode to air on Monday, November 2 on PBS!

Lighting the horno to fire up her micaceous clay pottery.

Aspen Flowers of Taos Pueblo forages for wild clay and mica then molds them into bison, butterfly, bird, coyote, and rabbit figurines before firing.

Here, she's testing out the new horno we built at La Hacienda de Los Martinez for her clay art.

Another day, another beautiful firing.

We loved firing up the horno for visitors traveling to Taos from EARTH USA — the International Conference on Earthen Architecture & Construction, happening in Santa Fe.

Such a sweet evening together at La Hacienda de Los Martinez.
