Because during all of the potential dynamics of a wedding day, a plot of land with a building on it doesn’t know how to pivot, how to encourage, to finesse and troubleshoot and support. But a venue with a team of caring wedding professionals who understand your needs and preferences? A team who has helped guide your planning process and connected you with the vendors who are your perfect fit?

Happy Monday! We start off each week here at the Tannery with a team meeting to regroup after the weekend’s events, check in with each other, and plan for the coming weeks.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is important to us to take time to celebrate successes and seek out areas for improvement, so that we can serve both our clients and the wedding community more effectively!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And often, we’ll couple this check-in with vendor meetings, like our chat with regarding collaboration efforts with so many of our favorite planners.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s also a perfect time to stroll through the gardens for a little moment of zen... to anchor our week and our work in gratitude and appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us and the beautiful people that we get to work with!

With this streak of the rainiest days in the DMV... our gardens are soaking it all up, but that doesn’t mean that it hasn’t thrown a wrench into wedding plans for so many couples around the region the last couple of weeks! ☔️

And while we understand the vision of a sunny, outdoor ceremony, we firmly believe that our couples should be just as excited about their “plan B.” And this is where our beautiful pavilion can come to the rescue! 🤍

A blend of cottage core and coastal-inspired beauty, set to a serene backdrop that is rooted in nature🪴🤍 this one will forever be extra special to us.

Not many people would choose to get married in their “office,” which was definitely a consideration for our very own Colleen when planning her wedding last year. While she originally explored a different venue, she ultimately realized there was something incredibly special about celebrating in a place that already meant so much to her. Being surrounded by familiar faces, meaningful memories, and a space she truly loves made returning to The Tannery feel like the perfect fit 🤍

Whimsical, timeless, & so full of joy... we are so smitten with everything about C&J’s beautiful June wedding day! 💫
