These past two art classes were filled with all the beauty that comes with this change of season!
In the sensory bin we explored a rice and beans filled bin with leaves, sunflowers, and tree trays to fill and create little autumn scenes. For the 2nd class we explored spiced oobleck, which had cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger mixed in! We had gems and leaves within the oobleck to scoop, pour, make pies, and more!
The play dough table had cinnamon dough and then autumn color dough, lots of new autumn stampers, rollers, and cutters. We created dough homes for some animals that we see roaming and preparing for a long winter!
We painted autumn trees with spice filled paints, stamped apple on tea towels, created watercolor pictures adding leaves and flowers to see what could be left when they dry, and a loose parts autumn tree!
I’m excited for our last class of this session which will bring us into a new outdoor space where we can explore art, sensory, and nature together even more!
