Today, February 5th, is easing us into a celebration of love with the release of his power ballad "Darte" ("Give You.")

It's the first release of the year for Lucesca (and partywatcher) and this one is getting us all gushy and vulnerable.

"Darte" explores love as a constant act of creation - one shaped by truth, change, and imperfection.

The production has a polished sound within a sparse and expansive space.

Just think of some of those Prince ballads from the eighties... this is where "Darte" lives.

The release is also accompanied by the music video featuring - La Primera Dama - or his first (and only) lady, set in the Dominican Republic.

"Ori Gbemidebe" by Nigerian indie artist, , dropped today, Monday, Nov. 24th.

This loosely translates to - "My creator, take me there" - in Yoruba.

This is a first for Lucesca on many levels.

Beebu and I began communicating almost a year ago.

At that point, I was exploring new music popping up in Nigeria.

I gave him some points to build upon and we didn't speak for many months.

Then he came back to me with this single and despite not understanding the message, I was drawn in by how jovial and uplifting the song felt.

I decided to take a chance on many levels, but I also think the same holds true for Beebu.

He's the first African artist that Lucesca works with and represents.

He's the first artist that Lucesca represents that is distribution-only.

It's the first single I release in a language that is foreign to me.

But most exciting, is the fact that I'm learning about a whole new culture and music ecosystem through my conversations with Beebu.

I mean, it's music from the African continent!

There is such a deep history of beautiful music that I've explored for a long time, and I hope this opens the door to explorations at a much deeper level.

It all comes down to the true connections that you make. It is what makes this worthwhile each and every day.

The metrics are important, the awards and recognition are nice, but I'll just focus on the music and the friendships.

Released just yesterday, "AQUI ESTAREMOS" is a collaboration between Chicago-based Dominican artist, , and Mexican singer-songwriter,

I can't lie, this is one of those romantic and emotional jams that just creeps up on you.

When he first showed me the demo, I thought - This has one of those classic progressions that gets inside you.

All of a sudden, you find yourself humming the chorus while taking out the trash, going on a run, or picking up the kids from practice.

It's a mix of Latin pop and smooth reggaeton rhythms, and it's bilingual lyrics finds both artists bearing deep truths and seeking redemption.

Of his latest single, partywatcher said:

"This is about the hardest kind of honesty. Admitting you were wrong, swallowing your pride, and asking for another chance... because the love is worth it... Sometimes the boldest thing you can do is show up with your heart in your hands."

When was the last time you heard "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode?

This week, , tropic-dark rockers hailing from the Dominican Republic, quietly released their own take on this UK classic.

Radi Ramon, lead singer and orchestrator on everything Le Montro, brought this track to me and told me

I just want to put it out right now, no plans, no promotion.

He wanted to share some new music with his fans and ride on this new creative energy that he's been on ever since he landed in NYC.

So that's what we did - because I know new music, new shows, and new experiences are forthcoming...
..and you can't stop the creative flow when it's gushing out.

I'm just here to help guide it and make sure everything is in place so that as many people as possible can easily "Enjoy the Silence"

We've moved onto the second round of the Film Sync Awards!

Launched by the French Association of Music Supervisors, UK & European Guild of Music Supervisors, and .audio as technical partner.

Candidates are asked to propose a track from their catalogs as an alternative sync placement to 1 of 4 iconic film scenes.

Together with the help of our new sync rep, Jeremiah Moss , we chose what we thought to be the best song from our catalog to pair with the classic chase scene from Thelma and Louise.

Out of 1200 submissions, we made it into the top 280! We've now submitted our entry for the final round to hopefully place into the top 10.

Even if we don't make it, it's been lots of fun re-imagining that scene with a few different options from our publishing catalog.

We're crossing our fingers tightly 'til they announce the winners at the end of this month. 🤞 🤞 🤞 Wish us luck!

Yesterday, dropped "Eso Ya No Va."

It's an urban pop summer hit that embraces his Dominican roots.

He describes it as "the first page of this new chapter"

It's also the first thing I thought when he showed me the demo.

The production is at a whole new level.

It explores the intersection between various Latin rhythms...
..and shows listeners that healing can begin on the dancefloor.

"I wanted to write a song about the strangeness of situationships and the weird thing that happens when getting less attention makes you more attracted for some reason?"

This is how Tampa Bay-based artist, .move.music , describes his latest single "Need U The Most" which dropped this past Friday.

It's an upbeat, and sometimes frantic bedroom pop journey into the "game" of romantic relationships.

This is the latest release from one of my clients on the Lucesca Publishing roster, and my first signing at a local level.

I'm excited to see how we can take advantage of this proximity, and the city's available resources for local artists, to support Rookie Move in his creative endeavors as an indie bedroom pop artist on the rise.

We're excited to share the latest, as we welcome the eclectic & emotive composer / sound designer from , Josh Money to the Lucesca family! His genre-bending sound often contains themes of depression, hope, and relationships. His prior work has been featured on productions for A24, DC, EA, HBO, and Netflix Originals. We're grateful that he's put his trust in us and the community of songwriters and artists that we represent and work closely with.

This is the big news for today, but we're already working on a few surprises that will see the light very soon. Keep your eyes peeled and ears open! Hasta la proxima!

A few months in the making, "Una Vez Mas", the summer cumbia by and dropped today on all streaming platforms. This was a continental collaboration between the two talents, Mexican DJ/Producer, Bial Hclap, and Dominican artist (via Chicago), partywatcher. It's a wonderful feeling to bring two forces of creativity together and watch them bring this beauty of a song to life. Using the remote and virtual tech necessary to connect and create, production between Bial and partywatcher was under way in no time at all. I said it before, and I'll say it again - this cumbia is setting off the tropical season in true fashion, with the nostalgic vibes of a wild summer love. If it doesn't make you dance and sing like you're in shower, 🚿I don't know what will.

Go check it wherever you listen to your tunes, and add it to your summer playlists to keep the dancin' alive. Also, reach out to and congratulate him on his first ever cumbia release. What a way to get it started!
