Well myself and the crew of my youngest son Jack and my man Johnny took a road trip to Jacksonville to move a nine foot pro am 3 peice slate to the customers new home. Upstairs, the terrible thing as I call it. But first had to once again deal with previous install stupidity. Weirdo bolts in the middle of the slate that were bondod over without putting some tape over the heads. We see this all the time btw on almost every table we put our hands on here in Florida. It’s a very simple thing to think of if you have EVER had to deal with it. So then we had to drill the top of the screws ,bolts off ya know to get the damn slate off. Come on mannnn! Anyways we got it in the truck and over to the new house. Up the stairs for any table is a chore. But a nine foot pro am is extra special. But of course it can be done. Oh yes. So if you see all the bondo holes , please for the love of little baby jeezus mark which ones have screws and which ones do not ! Think of the next guy behind you please. Personally I modify the 3 peice slate on these by drilling and putting slate screws in them. Much easier to level and deal with it all. Don’t be an idiot tho , pay attention not to run thru the cabinet. Use your brain 🧠. When we got it all done I and most importantly the customer was happy. My crew is the premier diamond and for that matter all of Floridas table moving, service and repair specialist. Poolroom service is something I do love. After the initial repairs of course. Also, any mechanics out looking for advice just reach out for gods sake. I want us all to be champions.

Russ Prince my friend your table is now ready. A Gandy big G. Pro-8. After some investigation it was determined that the incorrect cushions were installed on this one. No surprise tho. All Gandy tables come with k-66 cushions, so that’s what was put on them by the previous mechanic. But , this table had to have been reprofiled long ago because this one takes k-55. So I lengthened the rails to make this table at 4.50” pro cut pockets. Simonis 860 HR tournament blue cloth that the customer supplied. I put new gold crown pocket in. Took the slate apart and re did the leveling and slate seams the way I like. Everything is nice and new now. Thank you for the work and hospitality to Russ and Karen!

Btw this the very first j flowers tribute case ever made. As john knew that I had played with J. He was on my pool team long ago. It’s funny story really. He told me I was the worst player he had ever seen 😁. But as time went on he loved me. We won a lot in our local pool league. Bar room league back then. There was no Apa or anything back then in our area. He told me all kinds of crazy stories about his life. He would have never personally have used this particular case because he could not get his gun in and out of it quickly 😂. He was a mean old man that I loved tho. Played good and had tons of knowledge of the game and the ancillary aspects of it. John gave me this one year at valley forge,pa. In honor of my time with J. I just don’t use it and would rather someone that will.
