Join us for the revival of last year's smash hit comedy musical r***e as we present all-new Broadway hits, performed by great singers who absolutely do NOT “fit” the role as originally written.

From start to finish, this high energy musical r***e will surprise and delight you at every turn.

🎄 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: ASHES & SOOT 🎭

Carrollwood Players is seeking original ten-minute plays for Ashes & Soot, a brand-new late-night play festival featuring a collection of short, adults-only comedies inspired by the classic poem "'Twas the Night Before Christmas."

We're looking for scripts that are off-the-wall, irreverent, naughty, unexpected, and laugh-out-loud funny.

Whether you're skewering Santa, exposing reindeer secrets, revealing elf labor disputes, or taking a completely bizarre detour from the source material, your play must be rooted in the poem and its characters, imagery, themes, or legacy.

Plays must be 8–10 minutes in length, must be original works that have never been produced anywhere, and playwrights must reside in the greater Tampa Bay area.. We are looking for scripts with characters and dialogue, not a re-written poem,

A selection committee will choose 6–8 plays for production.

Performances will take place on select Friday and Saturday evenings in December 2026 at 11:00 p.m. in the newly renovated CWP Black Box Theatre.
