An immersive night of art, live music, dance and unexpected performances, but your ticket does more than get you into the room.

It helps keep professional artists working here in Tampa. It helps us bring dance into our community. And it moves Tampa City Ballet closer to our $1.5 million goal of building a fully funded professional ballet company our city can call its own.

A great first week back in the studio 🔥🔥

We kicked off our 2026–2027 season with some very exciting news, Tampa City Ballet is officially Artists-in-Residence at the University of South Florida. We welcomed our company back and got right to work on La Séptima.

We also want to give a special thank you to our Principal Dancer and Director of Rehearsals, Shelby Russ, who has been leading the company through our first rehearsals of the season.

Shelby is a Tampa native, USF alumna, and now entering her fourth season with Tampa City Ballet. From performing her own choreography at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival to the many roles she has brought to life on the TCB stage, Shelby continues to grow as both an artist and leader within our company.

There are a lot of hours in the studio before a production ever reaches the stage, and we’re grateful to have Shelby helping lead the way.

Week one of La Séptima rehearsals is officially underway. We can’t wait to show you what we’re working on!

On September 18, Palma Ceia Country Club will be transformed into an immersive world of art, movement, light, and music for the Tampa City Ballet Gala & Auction.

Step inside Santiago Echeverry’s immersive visual projections, brought to life through lighting design and projection mapping by Joseph Smith . Wander through a specially curated collection and art installations by OXH Gallery - A Thing of Beauty📌 . Experience special musical performances by Eunmi Ko and Daniella Mass , with Tampa City Ballet dancers appearing throughout the garden in unexpected moments of movement and performance.

This is just a glimpse of what’s growing inside the Secret Garden.

We’re back in the studio!🔥🩰

Tampa City Ballet is excited to kick off our 2026–2027 season as Artists-in-Residence at the University of South Florida.

Our first day back was filled with company class, rehearsals and a lot of hard work as our dancers prepare for the performances ahead.

There’s nothing quite like having the TCB dancers back in studio together pushing, creating, and bringing a new season to life!

Meet the voice of our Secret Garden. 🌿🌸🩰

We are thrilled to welcome J A V A as Emcee of the Tampa City Ballet 2026 Gala & Auction.

A three-time Emmy-nominated television host and lifestyle expert, Java has interviewed everyone from Hollywood stars and Hall of Fame athletes to leading executives. Today, she hosts Michelin Star Revelation ceremonies across the country and can be seen in Apple TV+’s Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars, produced by Gordon Ramsay.

But there’s another side of Java that makes welcoming her into our Secret Garden especially meaningful:

She is a dancer.

Java began dancing at just four years old, went on to major in Ballet in college, and has remained a passionate champion of the arts throughout her career.

On September 18, she steps inside the Secret Garden with us for an immersive evening of art, performance, community, and giving in support of the future of Tampa City Ballet.

DANCE ALONGSIDE TAMPA’S PROFESSIONAL BALLET COMPANY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON 🐭🩰🎄

Tampa City Ballet invites dancers from all studios throughout Tampa Bay to audition for The Nutcracker.

This is your opportunity to take the stage alongside Tampa's Professional Ballet Company, work with our artistic team, and be part of one of Tampa’s most beloved holiday traditions.

You do not need to be a Tampa City Ballet School student to audition. Dancers from all studios are welcome!

Auditions | August 29 & September 5

Ages 15+ | 2:00–3:00 PM
Ages 7–10 | 3:00–4:00 PM
Ages 11–14 | 4:00–5:00 PM

Auditions are mandatory for all dancers including Tampa City Ballet School Students.
