Bill Mason, a good friend of ours and great recording engineer passed away last week. As far as we know, his studio, Hitmakers, is the only studio in Tampa Bay that has been here longer than we have. The original Hitmakers occupied a building in Ybor then moved to Sulphur Springs. We now occupy that building.

In spite of being in the same business, Bill was always ready to lend a hand to us. When our 56th studios were robbed of all of our mics, Bill called to offer a loan of some of his to get us back up and running. That’s the kind of guy he was. Always willing to help.

There are tentative plans to have a celebration of life for Bill. More news on that as it develops. In the meantime, Bill’s wife, Brenda, asked us to share this memorial.

View William Taylor Mason's obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.
