Attention: We will be moving our production of Floyd Collins inside to the auditorium this evening due to wet conditions and the possibility of evening rain. Please enter through the auditorium entrance. All tickets will now have first-come, first-served seating (your assigned courtyard seat will get you in the door). All remaining tickets can be purchased at the door beginning an hour before show time. We promise you an equally-excellent production indoors. Thank you for your flexibility!

I had the privilege of watching our very talented cast of Floyd Collins under a clear, slightly starry sky this evening. There is nothing like watching a show out in that courtyard in crisp, clean, spring weather. There is hope in the air and the promise of summer. Come experience it for yourself this Thursday-Saturday at 7:00 PM (Run time is 2 hrs. and 15 minutes). In the meantime, enjoy my favorite song from the show, "How Glory Goes."

The TADC is so very proud to share our online playbill for next week's production of Floyd Collins, on May 16th-18th at 7:00 PM. What the students, both cast and crew, have been able to accomplish in putting together this full-scale, two-act musical in the time they have done so is truly amazing. It has truly been a labor of love, and its quality is a testament to their dedication to their art.

Our stage and light crew have done a tremendous job in creating a cave system that can transform our courtyard space and also transition over to our auditorium stage if needed. It is so creative and clever.

As for our cast, in watching them pull this show together over the last week, I have been in complete awe. They are truly a well-oiled machine at this point, and I am so proud of our program and the effort that they all put in to make it what it is. I have been drawn to this show for a long, long time, and telling Floyd's story has been important to me. This week, I was able to see that vision take shape as I watched our talented cast perform. No one who has watched the show this week has escaped without crying. Don't miss your opportunity to see this rare gem in a unique location. The weather looks like it is cooperating for next weekend, however, I can also promise you that the experience in the auditorium lacks in nothing. Our students completed dress rehearsal in that space the last two days, and they are absolutely ready to perform in either space, regardless of the weather.

Please come support them. We want and need to sell our so that we can continue to do amazing things in our future. All tickets are $15 and can be purchased on Ticket Leap (please search for the event on that site, as this post will be removed if I post it here). Doors open at 6:00, and tickets can be purchased at the door as well.

Hello, current TASD students who are currently in grades 5-11 and who are interested in joining the drama club for the 2024/2025 school year, here are a few important dates for you:

Tomorrow, 4/25, there will be a meeting for current fifth grade students and their parents who are interested in joining drama club, either as an actor or stage crew, from 4:30-5:00 in the high school cafeteria (please enter through the ramp on the side of the cafeteria, and bring your Chromebook).

Dance audition workshops for next fall's production of Ghost are Tuesday, 4/30, and Wed., 5/1, from 5:00-6:30 PM in the high school cafeteria. Come to a session (or both) to learn the audition combination. Anyone who is considering auditioning and is currently in grades 5-11 is welcome to attend. Wear appropriate footwear, and enter through the ramp on the side of the cafeteria, please.

Auditions for Ghost will be held May 29th & 30th. You must sign up for an audition time. See Mrs. Drum at the high school or email her at [email protected] for information.
