We are honored to be able to partner with Christian Healing Ministries (CHM) on this retreat. For over 40 years, CHM has been spreading the message of healing throughout the world. People come to their campus from every continent to receive healing prayer and to be trained and equipped to pray for others. Their mission is to be a visible presence of Jesus's desire to heal by providing healing prayer for the sick and training those who want to learn to pray. CHM founders, Dr. Francis and Judith MacNutt, are considered pioneers and voices of authority on the subject of healing. Judith continues to travel across the country speaking at conferences and retreats bringing hope and healing into those communities. We hope you can join us!

After returning to the US, Judith established Christian Counseling Services in Clearwater, FL, integrating her work as a psychotherapist with healing prayer. They have traveled extensively together and coauthored the book Praying for Your Unborn Child. Our next Healing Retreat workshop option will be led by Sara Thurman. In this interactive workshop, "Journaling with God - Deepening Your Conversation Through Reflective Writing”, you will explore the practice of prayer journaling as a meaningful way to engage with God through writing.

What if your journal became a sacred space to hear God's voice, process your thoughts, and deepen your relationship with Him?
Through guided prompts, Scripture reflection, and intentional listening, participants will learn how to record prayers, capture insights, and recognize God's presence in everyday life. We will be asking God to bring healing into our own places of grief and need for His comfort.

As we slow down and create space for reflection, we will discover how journaling can help us process emotions, discern God's guidance, and cultivate gratitude and spiritual awareness. No writing experience is needed - This is not about perfect words or polished prose but about creating an honest and open dialogue with God.

Our next instructor for the Healing Retreat is Dr. Ken Polsley. Dr. Polsley is a conference speaker and prayer minister at Christian Healing Ministries (CHM) in Jacksonville, FL. Originally from Iowa, Dr. Polsley is an ordained minister and previously served as a missionary to the Philippines, as well as in several pastoral positions over the past 25 years. Ken holds a masters degee from the Institute for Worship Studies and volunteers as a prayer minister CHM. Dr. Polsley will be teaching several topics throughout the retreat weekend, as well as leading one afternoon workshop entitled, "Getting Into the Flow: Cooperating with God’s Surprises," described below:

Control is a big issue in our lives. When we pray “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”, we are saying "Thy will be done" in our lives. We are the ones on earth, and giving up control is the last thing we want to do. We have to give up our agendas for His will to be done.

In this workshop, artists will be creating a monochromatic watercolor project using pigment that is highly reactive to water. The pigment has a mind of its own, and things will happen on the paper in ways you will not expect. This lesson will emphasize cooperation over strict control.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Polsley and the CHM team to Eagle Rock for this year's retreat!

Introducing our next Healing Retreat workshop, "Broken to Beautiful" with Tammy O'Conner. This two-day workshop will explore a brand new medium at Eagle Rock, stained glass!

As you get away from it all, come discover the calming and restorative art of stained glass in this beginner-friendly workshop. Participants will be guided through the basic techniques of stained glass, with the exception of glass cutting. The Tiffany method of glass grinding, copper foiling, soldering, and finishing will be our focus while creating a meaningful stained glass piece to take home. This will be a treasured reminder of your healing journey at this very special retreat. No experience is necessary - all instruction will be provided in a supportive and nurturing environment.
