As we head into our opening weekend of Season 26-27, we are taking time to reflect on why TSO matters. Our CEO Mandy Stringer eloquently states the importance of live music performances in her Opinion piece in the Tallahassee Democrat today.

"At TSO concerts, audiences are not simply spectators. They are participants in an experience unfolding in real time. They encounter composers whose music has endured for centuries, living artists whose voices reflect our own time, and TSO musicians who have devoted decades to mastering an extraordinary craft."

You can be a participant in this weekend's experiences by coming to our free open dress rehearsal on Saturday morning at 10am or by purchasing a ticket to attend the performance on Saturday evening at Ruby Diamond. Head to tallahasseesymphony.org to sign up, and click the link below to read the full letter.

Your TSO 2026–27 season begins with a celebration of the music we carry with us and the ways our heritage shapes the stories we tell.

From the blues-inspired sounds of Carlos Simon’s Hellfighters’ Blues to Dvořák’s deeply personal Cello Concerto and Rachmaninoff’s sweeping Symphonic Dances, this concert explores how music connects us to heritage.

Cellist Zlatomir Fung joins the orchestra for Dvořák’s beloved Cello Concerto, bringing virtuosity and sensitivity to one of the great works of the cello repertoire.

Join us for this powerful opening to Maestro Yaniv Dinur's Season of Dreams!
