Movies are FREE for FSU students with valid FSU ID during the semesters in which they are enrolled, $6 for general admission, and $3 for FSU Faculty/Staff, alumni, and Tallahassee Film Society members. Located in the heart of FSU’s campus as a satellite of Oglesby Union, the Askew Student Life Center houses a number of exciting and important student services. The Student Life Cinema is one of the nation’s leading campus movie programs, featuring movies selected by all-student committees: five to six nights a week of everything from the most recent blockbuster movies to documentaries, indies, and foreign films, to restored cinema classics to midnight movies. The Student Life Cinema is also one of the few theaters in the nation with the capacity to screen films in classic 35mm film, giving patrons a one of a kind experience hard to find in the modern cinema. Our box office, concessions, and The Grindhouse accept both cash and card, but we do not accept FSU Cash or FlexBucks.

Interested in seeing one of your films on the big screen? This is your chance! 🎬

This October, the ASLC is partnering up with the FSU Film Club for their annual 48 Hour Film Festival. Filmmakers will have 2 days to write, film, and edit a short film based on a series of prompts. For more information on the festival and how to participate, visit the FSU Film Club’s Discord.

The filming period will begin October 17th, and the films will be screening in the ASLC theater on October 29th.
