Closing a chapter is never easy and sometimes very challenging to do. Over the past 10 years, I have had the pleasure of working at one of the most talented schools in Leon County...Hartsfield Elementary. If you really know me, you know how much my kiddos mean to me. I wouldn't be who I am without the support of my Hartsfield school family, Hartsfield Chorus, and the Tallahassee community at large. There are so many of you who have poured into me and I wish I could call you all by name, but know that I am forever thankful! At HES, we have managed to laugh, cry, travel, put in countless late hours, and most of we have made wonderful music memories! However, I am ready to embrace a new journey and it's time to let go. From the bottom of my heart, my students have changed me, made me better, and have truly made an ever-lasting impact on my life. I will be forever grateful and wherever I go, HES will always be in my heart. Thank you Ms. Cora Franklin (former principal), for giving me a chance fresh out of college and telling me I was going to make a difference!! To the current HES administration, faculty/staff, custodial staff (always looked out for me), students, alumni, and Tallahassee community arts supporters at large who have poured into my program, I just want to say thank you and please receive this message with a virtual hug. A special thank you to the "Hartsfield Chorus" family for all the memories and the beautiful "farewell" drive-by...I can't stop πππ. I love you then, I love you now, and I love you forever. Continue soaring with heart and soul!
