Our Middle School Environmental Science campers had an unforgettable day exploring aquatic ecosystems both in the classroom and in the real world!

On their way to visit the FSU Coastal and Marine Lab, campers stopped by Underwater Tropics for an up-close look at a variety of tropical fish species and the plants that create their habitats. They learned how healthy ecosystems depend on the relationships between animals and the environments they call home.

The highlight of the visit? Campers selected aquatic plants and a betta fish to create their own mini aquarium—and officially welcomed their newest classmate: Jeremy the Betta Fish! 🐟

Pete the Cat is going to the planetarium! 🌙✨

Join us June 14 from 6–7 PM at the Challenger Learning Center for a free Storytime Under the Stars.

Members of the Making Light Productions Pete the Cat cast will be reading selected Pete the Cat books while the pages are projected onto the Planetarium dome for families to follow along and enjoy the illustrations.

This is a storytime appearance, so our cast members will not be in costume, but they’ll be excited to share some favorite Pete the Cat stories with you. We’ll also have small Pete-themed take-home activities for kids, while supplies last, and a couple of lucky readers will go home with their own Pete the Cat book!
