Instead, imagine sitting across a table from a local leader with seven minutes to talk about whatever is on your mind.
That's Speed Date Your Local Leaders.

You'll meet several community leaders throughout the evening as they rotate from table to table. Along the way, you'll also meet other Tallahassee residents who care about the future of our community.

Mingling and light bites begin at 5:30 PM, with the program from 6:00–8:00 PM.
It's an evening designed for conversation and everyone has a seat at the table.

The proviso list is out! Final state funding awards for Leon County total $1,723,529 across 18 organizations.

COCA advocated for months to include as many Leon County arts & culture organizations as possible on the list. Thank you to the State of Florida for this support and for recognizing the excellent programs these organizations are producing throughout our community and state!

Happy National Arts Education Week from COCA! Pictured are classroom projects funded through our FY26 Arts Education Grants, which supported proposals from 32 K-12 teachers in Leon County.

It’s National Arts in Education Week — tell Congress arts education can't wait.
This week, we’re calling on Congress to fully fund arts education's five federal funding streams, maintain funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), and protect access to the arts for every student in every community, from preK-12 through higher education. Arts education shapes creative thinkers, strengthens communities, and opens doors for the next generation. Join us in urging lawmakers to invest in the future of the arts.
