If you've seen me do comedy before you may have heard me jokingly talk about having a brain hemorrhage. This week is the anniversary of that and I always love to celebrate that I'm still alive by making people laugh. One of the biggest ways I was affected by my brain hemorrhage was I was so sensitive to sound I couldn't go outside, listen to music, or watch TV. It also affected my short-term memory and comedy was very challenging for the first year. Afterwards, I always had to have notes to refer back to because I would forget and just completely blank. I'm able to do a headlining set with no notes now and that feels like a huge accomplishment. If you want to help me celebrate life, please come see me do comedy on Wednesday or Saturday at Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack. Both shows are free and both shows begin at 8:30.
