Hello Friends:

It has been a long time since anyone has posted here as we have moved more toward an academic page, but I know many alumns are a member of this group.

For that reason I’m posting this message from our dear NEYE Family members, the Penners. They, and my proxy the NEYE, suffered a devastating loss when Mary Penner passed away two years ago.

“This website was created to honor the life and legacy.

To date, COVID has robbed us of the opportunity to celebrate her life together; in the meantime, Mary's family invites you to celebrate virtually by uploading your memories, photos, musical tributes, or acts of service in her honor. What a blessing it is to have known and loved Mary.”

The Early Years (written by Mary's sisters, Anna & Arlene) Mary was born on September 11, 1960 to Grace and Saleem Farag. She was the first of three girls. Mary’s first four years were enjoyed in sunny Loma Linda. At age 2 she was joined by her sister Arlene and one year later her sister Anna.

Hello NEYE Friends, Supporters, Alumni, and Members.

As we approach Alumni Weekend 2023, you can show your support specifically to the New England Youth Ensemble by making a donation here to the NEYE!

Facebook does a great job of working with Network for Good to ensure that your donations are tax deductible, the charity you choose is vetted and in good standing, and that the charity of your choice gets 100% of the funds raised. The donation will be processed by the Symphonic Ensemble and used directly to support the functions of the NEYE and the Carnegie Scholars.

Thanks so much for your support and faith in what we are doing for the next generation of inspired musicians.

Did you know that Hill-Freedman World Academy has its own record label?

We've hit 15% of our goal for this trip! Thank you to those that have already supported!

We're excited to provide students from HFWA an unforgettable experience at Carnegie Hall. Many of these students have never been outside Philadelphia, so this partnership gets to the heart of our mission of providing experiential and impactful opportunities to young musicians.

If you haven't had a chance yet, please consider a gift to help make experiences like this possible! Also, SHARE this post to help get the word out about this opportunity!

When you make a gift, you'll receive a thank you email that has a link to listen to Hill-Freedman Records' albums, which are created and performed by the students!

Make a gift today to support our ensembles as we partner with Hill-Freedman World Academy in Philadelphia to help them experience NYC and Carnegie Hall!

In just under 2 weeks, NESE will be taking 50 students from Hill-Freedman World Academy (HFWA) to hear one of our classical concerts at Carnegie Hall. In addition to the concert experience, HFWA students will have the opportunity to meet professional musicians and NEYE Carnegie Scholars in a pre-concert meet and greet. NEYE Carnegie Scholars will also act as tour guides as they show the Hill-Freedman students the best sights of NYC.

These types of impactful experiences and partnerships are core to the mission of NESE, and we couldn’t do them without your support. Please consider a gift today to help offset the cost of this trip and to support future opportunities like this one!
