#FlashbackFriday: So the last time I was on air, I played the new Luther Vandross song - "Michelle". It's a smooth track and a local cat must've thought the same thing because he walked up and sat in front of the studio window not far from the speaker outside. It's safe to say the cat was captivated by Luther's voice! I didn't wanna disturb his groove after he rolled up π.
If you haven't heard Luther's new song, do yourself a favor and check it out! His "NEVER TOO MUCH" Greatest Hits album comes out next Friday, 12/13.

Hey Sound of Soul fans, these three acts (The Delfonics, The Three Degrees, and The Intruders) have what in common? Tune into the show tonight and find out! From 8-10pm only on Takoma Radio. (Click play to see the slideshow of each group.)
Sooo....I got a chance to see The Legendary Chantels perform this past Saturday, Nov. 17th, at Harmony Hall in Ft. Washington, MD. Here's a clip of the ladies performing their classic, "Maybe." From left to right are: Lois Harris Powell, Sonia Goring Wilson, Renee Minus White, and Noemi (Ami) Ortiz Brink. These ladies have impeccable harmony together! As a doo-wop-loving 90's kid, it was treat for me to see them perform! [And shout out to the MC, Beverly Lindsay-Johnsonππ½]
