I built this 'Custom ASCII' plugin for Resolume.

Turns any visual into fully customizable ASCII art with two modes:

Text — type anything. Spell it out on your visuals, scramble it, rotate letters.
Sprite Sheets — drop in your own symbols, icons, whatever fits the moment.

My favorite looks are saved as presets for easy drag-and-drop. If you've seen this look in TouchDesigner — this is how you get it in Resolume.

What projection mapping looks like when you build the sculpture for it.

This is Tessellate — a CNC-cut sculpture my partner and I built from scratch. Fully mapped, painted, wired with LEDs. It's been on display at in Springdale, Arkansas since early March.

Everything you see is running through Resolume — meticulously mapped to every layer of the sculpture. 11 layers of depth, which made the mapping way more interesting (and way more complicated) than a flat surface. 50 looks on rotation, cycling every 20 seconds.

The 9-week exhibit wraps in May and we're bringing it out to festivals this summer with new looks added.
