Sometimes maintenance isn't just fixing broken flippers and replacing worn rubber. These are playfield inserts on Theatre of Magic which had become noticeably dimmer due dust and grime which comes mostly from the grinding down of metal parts within the machine.

This is more prevalent on some games, and is especially bad on many newer Sterns like Star Trek. On machines that use custom circuit boards with surface-mounted LEDs to light the inserts, not only do the inserts need attention, but the LEDs usually need a good wipe-down as well.

After bringing our players Labyrinth, D&D, and most recently the fabulous Star Wars: Fall of the Empire, we weren't going to dive into any new games for a while. Yet, we couldn't help ourselves and pulled the trigger this morning on the just-announced pinball machine celebrating the largest pop-culture media brand in the world: Pokémon!

As Stern Pinball is just beginning production on this new title, we expect to wait a few weeks to a month or so before ours is ready, but once it is, it will be at Damn Fine Pizza just waiting for you to stop in and take a shot at catching 'em all!

We've been moving a few games around to freshen lineups at some of our locations. Jurassic Park is now featured at Tacoma Pie, and Guardians of the Galaxy has made its way to Damn Fine Pizza in Port Orchard!

The updated Death Star bracket has been installed on Star Wars: Fall of the Empire and boy does it make a difference! Post-install play testing had no rejected balls, and locks on a clean shot were consistent.

It's great to get a new game out to ya'all fast, but sometimes being an early-adopter means smoothing out some wrinkles. In this case, the parts and instructions were sent from the manufacturer at no charge and it took me about 45 minutes to do the repair along with a bit of cleaning while that section was apart.
