Built and centered around a mid-1960s console hand-made for and used by Motown Detroit. Uptone Recorders is a vintage recording studio, featuring equipment & instruments from the golden age of recording. Combined with Pro Tools and Universal Audio Apollo Digital converters we can accommodate diverse recording projects from vintage time traveling freaks to modern recording needs. The centerpiece of our studio is Motown Detroit's 1960s recording console. This console, when used with our selection of vintage Neumann, Sennheiser, and AKG microphones, our vintage EMT, AKG, and Lexicon reverbs, and our vast museum of vintage and modern instruments and outboard gear, will make your record come to life. All sessions include engineer and access to our museum of instruments & recording gear.
