My dad visited me recently (he lives on the east coast, I live on the west) and I was reminded of these paintings I did that were inspired by him.
First is my dad’s former sail boat. I gave this to him as a gift.
Second and third are from our visits to Petra Jordan. Al-Khazneh and Ed-Deir.

Volunteering doesn’t only include making time to give back but also utilizing your skills/talents. A fire lookout I helped to staff last summer needed a logo for promos/recruiting so I volunteered to help out. Here is the end result.
Big thanks to who also helped with this project and for donating a photo to use for a version of this image.

This year I definitely need to make more time for art. I have a project I’ve been working on for a few years now and somehow haven’t completed it yet. In 2022 I managed to finish a piece once a week, not sure how I found the time but that proves that it’s possible if I’m determined enough. I need to get back into that mindset.

Flash back to a commissioned gift I did for a family member a few years back. Portraits of four fuzzy friends, two of which were memorialized. I was really happy with how it turned out.

This Fire Lookout feels like a home away from home to me. Nestled cozily on a high ridge near Mount Rainier National Park. It enjoys spectacular views, is not overly crowded most days, and rather comfortable to stay in.

Today is a sad day. My sister’s dog, Navi (short for Navigator), passed away from heart failure. I know their household is hurting from this loss. Sending my love to them ❤️
Here is a portrait I made of Navi a few years ago. I will miss her little tail wags and blanket burritos. Pausing on walks to give her motivational treats. Her little yips and yaps at nothing in particular. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Happy Halloween 🎃👻 Here are some creepy spiders for your enjoyment 🕷️🕸️
I love spiders! I like to take pics of them, and to drawing and painting them. I let them live in my house and I even have had some as pets. Spiders are beautiful and amazing creatures. It’s sad that some people think they are ugly or a nuisance.
