Area 253 (formerly known as M-Space) is the first Tacoma based public access glassblowing studio. Area 253 will continue to serve the public and local artisans in their quest to produce art glass. We will still be teaching beginning, intermediate and advanced glassblowing classes along with corporate/private parties, special events, one-on-one experiences, and private lessons with a professional g
lass artisan. In the near future; we will be offering lampworking, slumping, and fusing classes.....stay tuned for information. Effective May 1, 2012; the new shop owners will be Patrick & Rachelle Cahill. This shop has special meaning to us because we took our first glassblowing classes here. Patrick has been blowing glass since 2006 and continues to challenge himself with new skills. Glassblowing has become our passion and we will do everything possible to make your experience last a life time. Whether you are a new glassblower, a novice or a seasoned artist we will be here to provide you with a quality experience and a well equipped hot shop.
