New Muses Theatre Company was founded in 2009 by managing artistic director Niclas Olson. Our signature reinterpretations of classic works are balanced by productions of contemporary plays along with the challenging works featured in the One-Night-Only staged reading series. Over eleven seasons, and counting, the company has produced works ranging from classics like THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST
, HAMLET, and DOCTOR FAUSTUS to contemporary plays by Neil Labute, Wallace Shawn, and Michael Frayn. New Muses productions have been honored with awards and nominations from organizations throughout the puget sound region and recognized on "best-of" lists by local and regional media. Our productions thrive on relationships with multi-disciplinary artists, regularly employing actors, directors, and designers functioning in multiple roles within any given production. Beginning with the 2012-13 season the company has made its home as a resident theatre company of the Dukesbay Theater in Tacoma, WA. New Muses productions have also appeared in Seattle, multiple additional venues in the Tacoma area, and our inaugural home at the Roxy Theater in Morton, WA. REVIEWS:
