Commissioned Ordination stole June 9, 2024. (University Place Presbyterian Church, University Place, WA.)

This stole illustrates Acts 2:4-the account of God sending the Holy Spirit by a great rushing wind, or “ruah”, speaking to a diverse group of people in each of their native languages and settling tongues of fire over the people. Scripture is embedded in each of the “flames ”. The dove (Holy Spirit) is the origin of the words as they are poured out over the people.

Stole is Martyr Red dupioni silk. Other fabrics are Indonesian batiks and domestic fine cottons. It is #2 in a series of 5.
