Anne Doane
"The way light falls on a scene inspires me to paint it "
Over the past 27 years, Anne Doane's paintings have been displayed in various galleries and juried shows in the South Sound area. Some of her art awards include: The Third Place award, oil mediums, "Washington State Fair's Fine Art Competition", 2022, plus several Honorable Mention awards in 2016, 2023, and 2024; and the First Place award for painting, in Lakewood's "FAB (Film, Art and Bookfest) Fine Art Competition", 2018.
For the past 10 years, Anne has been an active member in area art clubs and paint groups where she enjoys the inspiration and encouragement from other artists.

Rita Welch
Award winning oil painter, Rita Welch, has been practicing her style of art, Western Realism, for over 35 years. Many of her paintings depict scenes from the old West, rural landscapes and horses. Her art work is frequently on display in art shows, and galleries in the Pacific Northwest. Some of her art awards include: The Fourth Place award, Oil Painting Division, Fine Art competition, Washington State Fair, 2018; First Place award, "Visions of Peace" art show, Premier Gallery, Puyallup, 2018, Second Place, "Ebb and Flow" art show, Tahoma Center Gallery, Tacoma, WA, 2017. Rita is an active member of Rainier Art Club.

Submission Deadline: Saturday June 13th as 11:59pm

We are accepting pieces of artwork that fall into the category, Abstract.

Abstract art should avoid representational or recognizable subject matter. We are looking for pieces that rely on form, color, texture, dimension or movement.

All art mediums are welcome.
There are no size constraints.
