My Back to the Future event is about bringing together people that love the iconic Back to the Future trilogy on the day they travel to the future. It is about reliving childhood moments and old on screen friends. It is about raising money for the Michael J Fox Foundation. And lastly, it is about remembering those times when a movie, piece of music, piece of art or a hoverboard could change your life forever :-) I would love to see you there!

Do you remember your first movie? What you attempted after you saw it? How is shaped what you believed possible and how it can now transport you to that time? Come celebrate the memories and friends we all made with Back to the Future in a truly awesome event!

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG FLIES INTO TOWN!

Experience the action packed adventure of the story of the magical flying car, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts, his children Jemima and Jeremy and the delightful Truly Scrumptious. Sensational sets, Ian Fleming's irresistible story, and an unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins) all add up to a blockbuster musical that everyone will love.

The last performance of our sold out season of Pirates of Penzance is on today and we are very sad that is has ended! Wow! Just saw Co-Opera's superb (semi-staged) presentation of 'Madama Butterfly'! Congratulations to Brian Chatterton, his support/creative team and the cast. It was vocally the best Butterfly I have ever seen in Australasia (being my favourite, opera I have seen a few!).
Three of the leads in the captivating small cast, were well-loved 'Amahl' cast members: Dione Baker sang the lead role of Cio Cio San, one of the most demanding roles in the soprano repertory, with an ease only matched by the world's finest soprano's! [Congratulations Dione, your performance literally moved me to tears! Big ones! ]
Branko Lovrinov wearing the romantic tenor hat of his immense, adaptable, talent was ideal as Pinkerton. [You know I love your Italianate tone Branko!]
And last but not least of our Amahl 3, Hew Wagner was superb as Goro. Hew's characterisation raised the profile of this role to a whole new level for me - something of a dramatic linchpin to the whole piece. [Very clever work Hew!].
I can't stop here and only celebrate the successes of team 'Amahl' though. Without a doubt, the work of the remaining cast - Monique Watson as Suzuki, James Moffat as Bonzo, Nicholas Cannon as Sharpless and Grace Bawden as Kate Pinkerton - was a homogenous blend of excellent!
Thank you all for a musically thrilling evening.

Now that the kids are back at school, why not take a moment to wander around Inside Morocco, Events & Decor. The kings gifts from Amahl & the Night Visitors came from here and they give such lovely wonderful service. I also hear a rumor that they have a Moroccan desert bar? Can they let us know if that is true!
