A Week with Monet invites students to explore the beautiful world of Impressionism through the work of renowned artist Claude Monet. Throughout the week, students will study Monet’s techniques, including his use of color, light, and quick brushstrokes to capture moments in nature. Inspired by his famous paintings, students will create their own Impressionist-style artwork. This dance camp is for your little ballerina who is already practicing turns, balances, and leaps. Sometimes to the detriment of your house, like Angelina Ballerina. In this class, littles will learn the fundamentals of Ballet technique and vocabulary as well as giving time to move creatively. We will also take time to read stories about little ballerinas and dance out their adventures. Dancers will showcase what they have learned through class in a mini performance on the last day of the class.

Musical Theater - Matilda (K-2nd Grade) 9:00-11:00am
Do you have a child with a flair for the dramatic? Have they been singing “When I Grow Up” or “Revolting Children” since they watched Matilda? In this workshop, students will be trained as a triple threat in dancing, acting, and vocal performance by professionals in each of those fields. They will also learn the basics of set, prop, and costume design. Students will work together to create a scene from a musical that will be performed for their families on the last day of the workshop.

special powers, super heros need to keep up with their skills to keep them fit and ready for action. In this workshop, superhero students will learn how to do just that. This workshop will get your child’s imagination going as we work on agility through quick movement obstacle course exercises, fundamental Acro skills (rolls, bridges, handstands, etc.), and of course, learn a short dance showing off their new super hero skills. All of these “powers” will be performed for their families on the last day of the workshop in an informal showing.

Sound Beginnings is for your little one that brightens up and can’t sit still when there is music playing. The class is structured to help progress your infant or young toddler’s physical, cognitive, verbal and social-emotional development with music. You and your little one will explore basic music concepts through stories, music, games, props, and instruments in a cozy, cheerful environment.

Little Maestros music class combines the best of various teaching methods, such as Kodály and Dalcroze, to foster a deep love for music in our little learners. Through engaging singing games and folk songs, children will explore pitch, rhythm, and melodic patterns. Movement and music come together in these dynamic approaches, helping children develop a keen sense of rhythm and coordination while beginning a foundation of music literacy. Students will showcase what they have learned in an informal showing at the end of the summer.

Vocal Explorers will incorporate much of what Little Maestros has to offer, with an added focus on basics of healthy singing. Kodály hand signs and solfège syllables will be used to build a strong foundation in music literacy and ear training. We will also use basic percussion instruments that enhance the students’ ability to improvise and train musical coordination. Students will showcase what they have learned in an informal showing at the end of the summer.

Harmony Singers is an energetic choir class for pre-teens of all vocal abilities. Students will learn vocal techniques, including breath control, pitch accuracy, vocal resonance, and dynamic expression. Students will be guided on maintaining vocal health, adapting to voice shifts, and building resilience through this transitional period for their voices. They will learn to blend their voices and work together to create a beautiful, cohesive sound. This class will also incorporate elements of music theory and sight-singing. Students will showcase what they have learned in an informal showing at the end of the summer.
