Through God's Eyes started with a frustrating car ride with my son.

I was driving, trying to tell him something, and he could not understand what I meant. I was getting frustrated.

Then a still, small thought came clearly: "Remember, he was My child first. You both are My children."

I cannot shake that sentence.

It changed the way I think about God's mercy. There I was, the parent running out of patience with my child. And I was a child too. One being met with patience the whole time.

If I'm honest, I often see myself through the world's measurements. Or through the lens of my own mistakes. Those are the lenses I reach for first.

God sees a child He knows completely and loves patiently. That is the view I wanted Through God's Eyes to hold up.

So I'll ask you what I've been asking myself. Which lens are you using on yourself right now? And which one are you using on the person you're struggling to be patient with? 🤍

Through God's Eyes is a premium digital download, $20, made to hang wherever you need that reminder most. You can find it on my website, gabrielheatonart.com.

The art that matters most is often the piece you only notice years later.

You look back on the season that nearly took you under, and there it was. Hanging on the wall the whole time.

That's what I hope Peace Be Still becomes for someone.

This piece is about Christ's power over the elements. The wind and the waves answered to Him. I believe that same power reaches the storms in ordinary lives. Addiction. Loss. Calamity. Chaos. He calms those too. He calms our souls.

This one is personal for me. It reminds me of that power and His steadfast ability to bring peace to my soul. That's why it exists. I needed the reminder too.

The point of a piece like this is memory. Years from now you may look back and recognize that peace was held out to you right in the middle of the storm. That's the faithfulness I want this art to help you remember. 🙏

So hang it where life actually happens. The kitchen. The hallway. The room you walk through on the hard days. Somewhere you'll see it. It's a marker you'll look back on.

Arms of Mercy started with something my wife told me.

There was a season when life felt like too much for her. She was worn down by everything she had to carry. So she closed her eyes and pictured the Savior.

She saw Him come near. He put an arm around her and let her cry on His shoulder.

Neither of them said a word. His message was still clear. Even with all her faults and fears, His arms of mercy were open to her.

As He held her, she felt His strength and His kindness. She knew she could forgive herself. She found the courage to keep going.

His mercy met her in her pain. She did not have to face it alone.

Her story brought this image to my mind, and I created Arms of Mercy to hold onto the love and peace she felt in that moment. It's a quiet piece. It's for anyone carrying too much right now.

You don't have to carry it all by yourself. You can rest in His arms. 🤍

Arms of Mercy is available as a Masterwork Canvas, and every order ships complimentary.

There is one moment that comes almost every day. The end of it. When you walk back through your own front door.

The Prodigal is a print made for that moment. The parable it comes from is about a son walking back toward a door he thought was closed to him.

It rests on one promise. However late it feels. However far from home and family and God you think you've gone. You have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love.

Because its story is about coming home, I think it belongs in the entryway. Or in the hall you pass through every evening. Where it hangs says the same thing it does.

A message about being welcomed back lands best when you meet it again and again. On the way in, it's there at the same hour every day. Including the days that went badly. 🤍

A verified reviewer wrote that it stirs their soul and moves them to tears for the hope and joy it brings to their heart.

So this is about that hour. The one where you come back through the door, whatever kind of day it was.
