Join featured artist Julia Kunin on October 1 from 6-7:30 PM for a discussion of her creative process and the works featured in her solo exhibition "Electric Dream Machines."

With their lustrous surfaces and evocative shapes, Kunin's ceramic works aim for maximum sensory overload. She forges disparate influences like Art Deco, Surrealism, and q***r abstraction into shimmering ceramic sculptures.

📍"Julia Kunin: Electric Dream Machines" opens September 19, 2026

‼️Experience these incredible exhibitions before it's too late‼️

"Nanni Valentini: Interspaces"
✨ Trained in Faenza, Nanni Valentini moved beyond functional pottery to position ceramics within the realm of fine art. His later work, including the "Trasparenza" series, explored the relationship between surface, material, and perception, challenging distinctions between paintings.

"Amy Lincoln: Fractured Light"
✨ New York-based artist Amy Lincoln paints dreamy, atmospheric landscapes and seascapes recalling her childhood under the overcast skies of the Pacific Northwest. An exploration of the phenomena of light reflection and refraction, "Fractured Light" is Lincoln's first solo museum exhibition.

📍 Both exhibitions close Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Only a few days left to experience Amy Lincoln's tranquil landscape and seascape paintings✨

Lincoln begins most of her paintings with three colors mixed with white to establish a color system unique to each work. She then blends layers of paint, creating surfaces that appear to glow from within. Lincoln's paintings in "Fractured Light" capture the feeling of light moving across a landscape through gradual tonal transitions, geometric precision, and symmetry.

In a world saturated with rapidly changing high-definition images, Lincoln’s work offers us an alternative that encourages close looking and deep engagement with color, light, and form.

📍"Amy Lincoln: Fractured Light" is on view through September 6, 2026

The before-and-after of Stanley Boxer's experimental ceramic following a much-needed conservation treatment✨

Thank you to our wonderful conservator Kasia Maroney and the Greater Hudson Herritage Network for making this project possible!

Boxer's ceramic work is featured in "New Works in Clay," a 50th celebration of the landmark 1976 exhibition "New Works in Clay by Contemporary Painters and Sculptors," that brought well-known painters and sculptors together in Syracuse to produce a body of works in ceramics.

The exhibition, on view at the Everson until January 3, 2027, explores how the Everson broke down barriers between art and craft and set the stage for the current ceramic renaissance in the art world.

Join CNY Artist Initiative featured artist Rich Harrington for a gallery talk to learn more about his work and special exhibition, "Fissure"✨

For many people, personal identity flows naturally from their families, the objects they grew up with, and the physical place they are rooted in.

These small puzzle pieces connect to construct one’s personality and sense of self. For others, notions of self and identity are more fluid and mysterious—a sum total that is somehow different from its constituent parts.

Harrington has spent his career grappling with his own identity and how popular culture has shaped it.
