COMING TO THE 443 - Bruce Katz - November 14, 2026

Legendary Hammond B3 keyboardist BRUCE KATZ is heading back to Syracuse.

Bruce has released 12 albums as a leader and has appeared on over 75 other CDs with the likes of John Hammond, Delbert McClinton, Ronnie Earl, Little Milton, Butch Trucks, Duke Robillard, David "Fathead" Newman, and many, many others.

He has also had a strong musical connection with the Allman Brothers Band, and was a member of Gregg Allman's band for six years (2007-2013), Jamoe's Jasssz Band (2010-2015), Butch Trucks' Freight Train Band and Les Brers (2015-2017). Bruce also occasionally toured with the Allman Brothers as well.

Bruce is a seven-time (2008, 2009, 2010, 2015, 2019, 2020,2021) Nominee for the Blues Music Award (W.C. Handy Award) for "Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year", selected by the Blues Foundation of Memphis, TN. He won the BMA for Acoustic Blues Album of the Year in 2019 for his collaboration with Joe Louis Walker and Giles Robson for Journeys to the Heart of the Blues and is nominated again in 2020 for the same award for his acoustic piano album Solo Ride. He was also nominated for "Outstanding Musician (Keyboards)" by Living Blues Magazine in 2015 and 2019.

​He is a unique player and composer who combines Blues and American Roots music with elements of jazz and improvisational rock music to create a signature sound that is all his own.

Join us on September 21st for 443 NIGHT SCHOOL: Finger Style Guitar & Blues Workshop with Colin Aberdeen Music

Colin will present a variety of finger-style blues guitar techniques and arrangement ideas for solo and ensemble performances.

He will also discuss his approach to songwriting, using some of his original songs as examples and offering a general discussion of songwriting.

It will be fun and informative, please join us!

FOR AGES 15+

The workshop is presented by The 443 Music Collective, a 501c3 non-profit organization producing extraordinary music events, offering education opportunities, and creating powerful up-close and personal live experiences.

Q: We have tickets for a show this weekend and we have a vegan in our group. We know you don't have a full kitchen, but do you have any vegan menu options?

A: We do!

Our Margherita flatbread can be made with Notzarella Vegan Cheese from Syracuse's own@ PMA Foods .

We can also adapt our Loaded Hummus Platter by removing the feta cheese and subbing vegan crackers for the Naan bread. Your server is happy to answer menu questions you might have.
