📣 This weekend at the Atrium:
On Friday (12-4:30 PM), experience Heroes & Legends — Reclaiming Identity Through Story: a cultural storytelling experience centered on identity, heritage, and the power of names.
Through live readings from the historical fiction work King Jajath Lives!, this event invites audiences into a powerful narrative rooted in African history, the transatlantic journey, and the resilience of memory.
The program includes immersive storytelling, a dramatic skit, a visual ‘Parchment of Names’ experience, and an interactive discussion encouraging participants to reflect on identity, origin, and belonging.
This event is designed to inspire, educate, and reconnect individuals with the deeper meaning of their names and histories 📜
On Saturday (4-7 PM), The Listening Room provides a mental health experience through music. Step into a space where the volume is intentional and the vibe is safe. The Listening Room blends live performances, real conversations, and curated sound to break stigma around mental health. Come hear artists share the stories behind their songs. Stay for the moments between tracks where we actually check in. Leave feeling lighter than you came 🎼
Finally, our annual invitational exhibit, Hues of ‘Cuse, is on display all weekend and through Sunday, June 28, 2026! See artwork of various styles by local artists, and interactive elements inviting YOU to contribute to an exhibit exploring experiences of life in the CNY Region 🎨
