The Appleseed Academy The Appleseed Academy provides free pre-professional theater training to Central New York teens!

The Appleseed Academy is a year round free program designed specifically for Central New York teens who are interested in developing their talents. Academy Members acquire pre-professional theatrical skills in a safe and supportive space. They learn to think critically and collaboratively in an environment where they are encouraged to experiment and make bold risky choices. Academy members learn about the discipline of theater by being involved with the entire process of putting on a show. From performing to directing, stage managing to stage design, light & sound design, film making, costuming, music, script writing skills, and more, our teens have the opportunity to get real world experience and training on and off stage from dynamic and seasoned instructors. Academy members come from all over Upstate New York and have a variety of backgrounds. Currently, The Academy includes students from multiple city and suburb school districts as well as home schooled students. We cater to beginners as well as more experienced members and encourage all who are interested to join us!
