Vox Salina, formerly Crouse Chorale, is Syracuse University’s premier treble choir, pairing the Latin word for “voice” with a tribute to Syracuse’s historic Salina area. The Crouse Chorale offers treble singers an opportunity to study and perform diverse styles of music from ethnically diverse folk music to the works of classical and contemporary composers. We are thrilled to announce that Vox Salina (formerly Crouse Chorale), Syracuse University's premier treble ensemble, has been selected to perform at the 2026 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Winter Conference in Rochester, New York!

This invitation is a tremendous honor and a testament to the artistry, dedication, and hard work of our musicians. We are incredibly proud to represent the Setnor School of Music, the College of Visual and Performing Arts, and all of Syracuse University on one of New York's most prestigious music education stages.

Congratulations to Dr. Kyra Mariah Stahr and every member of Vox Salina on this remarkable achievement. We can't wait to share our music with colleagues and educators from across the state and show everyone what it means to be Orange! 🍊🧡

Welcome to Vox Salina!

We are happy to announce the Re-branding of Syracuse Univeristies’ Premier Treble Choir “Crouse Chorale” to “Vox Salina!” With “Vox” meaning voice and “Salina” meaning salt, our new name highlights the beautiful voices in our choir along with acknowledging Syracuse’s beautiful Salina area. Our new logo being a salt crystal butterfly is in representation of what Syracuse is known for in being a “salt city” while also nodding to the beautiful butterfly garden in Salina, New York. Our new branding representing hope and honor to the beautiful land our University stands on, we hope you enjoy what we have coming next!
