A TYA Tour?? No way! Breadcrumbs is so excited to announce the creation of a new children’s play, The Labyrinth of Literaria, co-written and co-directed by Donovan Stanfield and Maya June Dwyer . Thanks to the Central New York Community Foundation, we are able to create paid opportunities for six local artists, and offer the show to schools and community centers free of charge. The world is topsy turvy, and we’re over here reading contemporary plays for funsies.

“Nurse Becky of Salem” by Sarah Ruhl is a DELIGHT of a play. We were all gasping, laughing, and heartbroken together, in a room, casually reading aloud. If you have the chance to read it (or better yet SEE IT) you absolutely should.

CONTEMPORARY PLAY READING GROUP

4:30 PM – Reading begins

Join Breadcrumbs Productions for a free, casual play reading—no experience required. Want to read? Put your name in the hat, and we’ll randomly cast the roles before we begin. Prefer to listen? Pull up a chair. We’ll recast at intermission, so everyone gets another chance to read in Act Two.

This month’s play:
Becky Nurse of Salem by Sarah Ruhl
A contemporary comedy about a historical tragedy.

Pride Ethos 2026 was an event to remember! This celebration of Q***r Art was all made possible because of the talents of Jo March and Come Out Central New York, partners Breadcrumbs Productions Everson Museum of Art, 30+ absolutely stunning LGBTQ+ artists, and the support of Onondaga County CNY Arts and NYSCA.
