Raise your glass for another successful Amateur Wine Competition! This year, over 400 glasses of wine were poured -- and on average we accepted three different types of wine per submission. The judges were impressed with a unique variety of wines in the Fruit, Dessert, and even Mead categories from amateur winemakers all across New York state.

The winners will be announced on Sunday, August 30th at noon during the Great New York State Fair. Hope to see you there! 🍷

Happy World Milk Day!

Today also kicks off ! Dairy is the largest single segment of New York's ag industry, accounting for nearly 3,000 dairy producers that produce over 16.5 billion pounds of milk annually.

Of course, here at the Fair, milk is a huge deal. Our famous 25-cent Milk Bar, located in the Dairy Products Building, is a fairgoer favorite year after year. Last year, 293,285 cups of perfectly chilled milk were poured at The New York State Milk Bar. Let's see if we can top that this year!
