Blazin’ Basics Youth Rodeo 2022 For kids ages 0-18 to ride, learn the sport of rodeo, and stay Christ centered. We will have lead line classes as well as independent riders for all ages!

If your children do not have a horse there will be some available!

And that’s a wrap!

We’d like to thank everyone that had a huge part in this season and to the kids who had the opportunity to come through our gates.

Just a few quick shoutouts (that will not include everyone because I’m sure I’ll forget someone!)
Thank you to Henagar Crossover Cowboy Church for allowing us to minister in that arena, providing lunch all season long, prayers, and devotional!

Without Mr. Jesse and Mrs. Peggy we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to allow kids who didn’t have horses the chance to rodeo. Between them and their stock, they’ve made some lasting impressions and memories for a lot!

Mr. Ralph, our gate man, was always there to cheer the kids on and offer words of encouragement to everyone going in and out. He was a lifesaver this season.

Thank you to each person who helped with registration, running kids, and all around there to cheer them on as their confidence grew and they got to fall in love with riding.

We couldn’t have asked for a better year!

Just a few reminders to wrap up the 2022 season!

We will be having a call-in period this evening from 6-8. Please text 256-605-1418 with your child name, events, and age as of Jan 1st.

If you have NOT paid the membership that will be due no later than Saturday morning.

Last rodeo of the season to qualify for finals will start at 10 am & finals will be that evening starting around 5:00 pm!

Qualifications for finals: compete in 3 rodeos & $25 membership.

As always, if you have any questions please let me know! We have had a blast, learned so much this season, and are so thankful for every single kid that has come through the gates and got to experience riding.

SCHEDULE CHANGE‼️

We will be having our last rodeo of the season September 24th starting at 10 AM. There will be a break for lunch/naps/getting ribbons/etc. then we will kick back up at 5 PM with our finals!

If you have paid the membership AND competed in three regular season rodeos EXCLUDING finals, you’re qualified for finals! After the last rider we will have a small awards ceremony! Awards will be for 1st-3rd place in each age division for each event, as well as participation!

We are TWO days out from RODEO time!

We missed a call in on Monday but if there are any parents who wish to pre-register for this Saturday August 27th rodeo please send a text to 256-605-1418 with your child’s name, age as of Jan 1, events they would like to participate in, AND t-shirt size!

Reminder : We have two regular season rodeos left and finals in October. Also, if this is the first rodeo your child will be participating in please make sure to come by the announcers stand before 9 AM to get all paperwork filled out!

Cowkids: at this rodeo please make sure we have t-shirt sizes for everyone.

We will have a call-in tomorrow from 6-9 pm for anyone who wishes to pre-register. And the rodeo will start at 9:00 am central time (aka slow time)!

Reminder parents paying the membership and competing in three rodeos qualifies for finals! There are only 2 rodeos after June 18th that will be regular season before finals in October!

Okay cowkids (& parents!)

We’ve had to move our June date back one week to June 18th!

We know this is Father’s Day weekend, but we still can’t wait to spend Saturday morning with all of these kiddos!

REMINDER:
-We will NOT have a rodeo in July- the last two rodeos of the season before finals will pick up in August-September.

Two more sleeps til rodeo day!

We are so excited to see all of our cow kids. If you have plans of being in the arena, as a contestant, helper, parent etc. please make sure you come by the announcers stand before we start the rodeo at 9:00 AM.

Reminder: we will also have concessions at all of our rodeos!
