Step off the screen and into the experience with us. The Toledo Met Commercial Competition Team is holding auditions for the 2026–2027 season, and we’re looking for passionate, driven dancers ready to grow, perform, and be part of something unforgettable.

Join us for our audition workshop on Friday, May 29th, where dancers will learn the official audition choreography, followed by in-person auditions on Saturday, May 30th.

✨ Toledo Met Welcomes Nikita Boris & Carlos Quenedit ✨

Toledo Met is thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed ballet artists Nikita Boris and Carlos Quenedit for this weekend’s Classical Variations Workshop with our company dancers!

Nikita Boris trained at the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia, along with the Irine Fokine School of Ballet and Valentina Kozlova Dance Conservatory in New York. An award-winning artist with international Grand Prix honors, Nikita has performed with Boston Ballet II, Cincinnati Ballet, and as a guest artist around the world. Her repertoire includes featured roles in Paquita, Raymonda, Cinderella, and works by celebrated choreographers including George Balanchine, Sir Frederick Ashton, Twyla Tharp, and Ohad Naharin.

Carlos Quenedit brings more than 20 years of experience as a principal dancer with prestigious companies including San Francisco Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Houston Ballet. Known for his artistry in both classical and contemporary ballet, Carlos has performed works by renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon, William Forsythe, Justin Peck, Wayne McGregor, and many others.

Most recently, Carlos served as Rehearsal Director and Faculty Member with Cincinnati Ballet and now mentors dancers worldwide through his company, CQT Training.

We are honored to have these extraordinary artists share their talent, knowledge, and inspiration with our dancers this weekend! 🩰

✨ Toledo Met Welcomes Lauren Fadeley Veyette as Interim Artistic Director ✨

We are thrilled to announce that Lauren Fadeley Veyette will join Toledo Met as Interim Artistic Director, Dance Division for Summer 2026.

Lauren brings an extraordinary depth of professional performance, teaching, coaching, and artistic leadership experience to Toledo Met during this exciting next chapter for our studio.

A former dancer with New York City Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, and Miami City Ballet, Lauren has performed leading roles in works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon, Alexei Ratmansky, Twyla Tharp, Jiří Kylián, Justin Peck, William Forsythe, and many more. She has also appeared in the Academy Award-winning film Black Swan and performed for Pope Francis during the 2015 World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.

In addition to her celebrated performing career, Lauren is a highly respected educator and mentor who has taught at institutions across the country, including Cincinnati Ballet School, Indiana University Ballet Theater, Indianapolis School of Ballet, and Toledo Met. Beginning August 1, 2026, Lauren will return to Indiana University Jacobs School of Music as Visiting Associate Professor of Ballet for the 2026–2027 academic year.

This summer at Toledo Met, Lauren will:
• Oversee our Artistic Director search process
• Lead summer ballet instruction and coaching
• Teach and mentor our incoming Classical Ballet soloists
• Work closely with students throughout the summer session

We are incredibly excited for our students and families to learn from Lauren’s artistry, professionalism, and passion for dance education.

Toledo Met had an incredible weekend at the Franciscan Center, producing TWO outstanding performances for our amazing musical theater and ballet students! 🎭🩰

A huge THANK YOU to all of the parents who volunteered backstage and helped our young performers shine on stage. Your support, encouragement, and hard work made this weekend so special. We are so proud of our students and so grateful for our Toledo Met family! ❤️
