✨ Toledo Met Welcomes Lauren Fadeley Veyette as Interim Artistic Director ✨
We are thrilled to announce that Lauren Fadeley Veyette will join Toledo Met as Interim Artistic Director, Dance Division for Summer 2026.
Lauren brings an extraordinary depth of professional performance, teaching, coaching, and artistic leadership experience to Toledo Met during this exciting next chapter for our studio.
A former dancer with New York City Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, and Miami City Ballet, Lauren has performed leading roles in works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon, Alexei Ratmansky, Twyla Tharp, Jiří Kylián, Justin Peck, William Forsythe, and many more. She has also appeared in the Academy Award-winning film Black Swan and performed for Pope Francis during the 2015 World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.
In addition to her celebrated performing career, Lauren is a highly respected educator and mentor who has taught at institutions across the country, including Cincinnati Ballet School, Indiana University Ballet Theater, Indianapolis School of Ballet, and Toledo Met. Beginning August 1, 2026, Lauren will return to Indiana University Jacobs School of Music as Visiting Associate Professor of Ballet for the 2026–2027 academic year.
This summer at Toledo Met, Lauren will:
• Oversee our Artistic Director search process
• Lead summer ballet instruction and coaching
• Teach and mentor our incoming Classical Ballet soloists
• Work closely with students throughout the summer session
