✨ Welcome, Andre Reyes! ✨

Toledo Met is thrilled to welcome Andre as he begins his new role as Artistic Director!

A former principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet, Andre brings more than two decades of experience teaching, coaching and developing dancers. His distinguished career includes positions with Boston Ballet School and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, along with guest instruction at Harvard University, Stanford University and the English National Ballet School.

Andre will be with us through August 30 and will return permanently on September 14. His wife, Cynthia Drayer—a former principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet and soloist with Houston Ballet—will join Toledo Met as Associate Artistic Director beginning September 8.

We are honored to welcome Andre and Cynthia to the Toledo Met family! 🩰💙

🎄 Calling all young performers ages 5–15! 🎭

Registration is now open for Toledo Met’s 2026 production of Elf The Musical JR. Come sing, dance, act, and make some holiday magic with us!

⭐ Ages 5–7
Register for our Young Actors – Beginning Musical Theater Class. This class meets once a week on Saturday mornings and culminates in ensemble performances in Elf JR.

⭐ Ages 8–15
Rehearsals meet Fridays from 4:30–6:30 p.m. and Sundays from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Registered performers will be cast in the production.

Performances are at 1:30 pm on December 19 & 20, 2026, at the Franciscan Center in Sylvania.

A NEW ERA OF ARTISTIC LEADERSHIP AT TOLEDO MET 💙

Toledo Met is thrilled to announce the appointment of Andre Reyes and Cynthia Drayer as the new artistic leadership team of our Dance Division!

Andre will serve as Artistic Director, and Cynthia will join us as Associate Artistic Director and Faculty Member.

Andre Reyes was a Principal Dancer with San Francisco Ballet for 13 years and brings more than two decades of experience teaching, coaching and developing advanced dancers. His teaching experience includes Boston Ballet School, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and New Ballet in San Jose, along with guest instruction at Stanford University, Harvard University and English National Ballet School.

Cynthia danced as a Soloist with Houston Ballet before becoming a Principal Dancer with San Francisco Ballet. Her extensive educational experience includes serving as Classical Ballet Program Head at Boston Ballet School, working as a New York City Ballet Workout instructor, and teaching within the Pre-Professional and Student Divisions of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School.

Together, Andre and Cynthia co-founded and co-directed Volee Dance in Palo Alto, California, and previously served as Co-Principals of Tulsa Ballet’s Hardesty Center for Dance Education.

Their distinguished professional careers, extensive teaching experience and proven history of successfully leading ballet programs together make them uniquely prepared to guide Toledo Met’s dancers and faculty into this exciting next chapter.
