So, I have been accepted into the Winter Art and Craft Fair at McGroarty Arts Center, the weekend of Dec 3-4!
I will be there with lots of mosaics, fused glass work, which includes one-of-a-kind jewelry. (Actually all of my work is one-of-a-kind!)
The hours are 10-5 on Sat, 10-4 on Sunday.
Also selling with me will be Rosanna Hunt, who makes marvelous "chocolates" out of clay that look good enough to eat! (But you don't eat them, you adorn yourself with them, or use them for fridge magnets.)
So come and check out the Fair, there will be a lot of artists there, and McGroarty sells chili bowls, and other food, so you can even have lunch there. They have beautiful grounds for that.

Another project meant to hang on a wall, this one a planter. I have a cute little fern to plant in it when it dries fully. Also like this one.

Here is a photo of the wall fountain that I made. I just completed it today and am waiting for the glue fully dry before I put water in. I'm pleased with how it turned out!

Looks like I will be selling at the Montrose Farmers' Market on Sundays in July, starting the 10th. I will be teaming up with Rosanna Hunt, who also creates things. We should have fun together!

I know, I have neglected this site so badly. I have done a few things since 2013, including taking some more classes at the Institute of Mosaic Art in Oakland, and learning new techniques that I can teach others. Also taught a workshop at a local Art center before Christmas. And did 2 sales last year, which did pretty well, sold one of my pieces that I made with Italian glass tiles, the Rose. I will put a picture of it up as soon as I can, meanwhile, here is a globe that I mosaicked this summer, and some basins which I cast in cement, and then mosaicked, for my outside pond.

Magpies did its first ever show! It was on May 19th, at a festival in Reseda. I made some contacts, and also sales :-) I shared the booth with a potter, June Rosenberry. I am working on getting some photos posted also.

I am getting into casting cement! I love cement - it is so heavy and solid! I have found recipes for lighter cement, and use that for my stones now. I am also experimenting with making faces, sand casting them. I have a wonderful book : "Making Concrete Garden Ornaments", she has some great ideas for this medium.
