Meet some of the artists form the San Fernando Valley. From the Lorem Ipsum Art Show (Feb. 27th) Mariana takes us deep into a cold and purple wilderness in her Winter Scene acrylic on canvas painting. Jose's Ta**us Silver painting completes the story of the coldness and deadness of winter. In addition, the art pieces share an blue-violet color scheme that makes a rich monochromatic look that is chilling to the bone!

From the Lorem Ipsum Art Show (Feb. 27), Lulu joins us for the first time to display her artwork on wood slabs. There is an assortment of characters, we see an ocelot, a month, a veriety of pokemon creatures including the very popular Pikachu and Bulbasaur, and finally Travis Barker from Blink182.

The wood slabs are all roughly about 5 by 5 inches painted with acrylic.

We hope you are all ready for Animaytion, May 1st! Paint your favorite animated cartoon characters from your childhood like Pokemon, Power Rangers, X-Men, Spiderman, Tom & Jerry, Ninja Turtles, Inspector Gadget, Sonic, Pink Panther, Street Fighter and Batman just to name a few. The list is endless!

Los Angeles native, Coltrane Powdrill, is a visual artist currently based in Reseda, CA. He works primarily with oil and acrylic paints, while also utilizing other mediums such as collage and ink/pencil sketches. His works, varied in subject, tell the stories of the oppressed, minority and enslaved peoples of this world—past and present. Other works showcase Powdrill’s unique take on popular culture including music, politics and sports.
