Meet Miss Jessica! 💕🎀

I’ve been twirling since I was four years old, and my love for baton really took off when I began seriously training and competing with the Southern Starlets in Cullman, Alabama. 🫶🏻 I was featured twirler at my alma mater, West Point High School, before taking my love of baton to Auburn University. I was an Auburn University Majorette for three years and had the honor of serving as Head Majorette my senior year. 🧡💙

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach lessons and choreograph high school and college routines, halftime shows, and special performances. I’ve also served as a Sylacauga High School Majorette Coach and an Auburn University Majorette Instructor.

Today, I’m a school counselor at Nichols-Lawson Middle School, an assistant coach for the Sylacauga High School tennis team, and the director of Revolutions Baton Studio through Sylacauga Parks & Recreation.

What I love most about coaching is watching young girls grow—not only as twirlers, but as confident, hardworking young ladies. There is nothing better than watching a student work hard, believe in herself, and accomplish something she once thought she couldn’t do. That’s one of my favorite parts of this sport! 💕

And when we aren’t busy—which is RARE! 😂—my family of four loves to travel, explore new places, and make memories together.

We can’t wait to see each and every one of our twirlers tomorrow! 🎀✨

✨We are so excited to welcome Miss Brooke as a Revolution Baton instructor! ✨

Brooke received her first baton at 3 years old, and started taking lessons in seventh grade. She went on to become a majorette with the Marching Sound of Gold at B.B. Comer High School. Brooke is excited to share that love of baton with a new generation of twirlers!

Brooke has been a speech-language pathologist for 18 years and currently works as an SLP at Indian Valley. Her love for working with children and her own experience as a twirler make her a wonderful addition to our instructor team!

Outside of work and baton, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband, Anthony, and their three amazing children.

We are so excited for Brooke to share her love of baton, encouragement, and experience with our Revolution twirlers! 🎀

✨Next up in our instructor spotlight is Ms. Makenzie!✨

Ms. Makenzie began twirling at the age of 7, and for the past 23 years, baton has been a meaningful part of her life. She was a high school majorette for three years, serving as captain during both her junior and senior years, before continuing her twirling career as an Auburn University Majorette for two seasons.

With years of performance and teaching experience, Ms. Makenzie is passionate about helping young athletes grow in confidence, develop strong technique, and discover the joy of baton. She loves encouraging students to work hard, believe in themselves, and celebrate every accomplishment—big or small.

Outside of Revolution Baton, Makenzie is part of the team at the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, where she enjoys serving and supporting the local community. She also loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, making memories with her family, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers.

Ms. Makenzie is excited for another amazing season and can’t wait to help every student learn and grow in their skill set and as young ladies!

✨Instructor Spotlight! ✨
We are so excited to begin our instructor spotlight with Miss Lauren!

Lauren has been twirling since she was 10 years old and that passion has grown into more than a decade of teaching and coaching young athletes. She twirled as a high school majorette for three years, serving as captain during both her junior and senior years, before continuing her baton career as an Auburn University Majorette for two seasons.

For the past 11 years, Lauren has shared her knowledge and love of baton with students of all ages. She is passionate about helping each twirler build confidence, improve their skills, and discover the joy that comes from hard work and teamwork. Whether she’s teaching a beginner’s class or helping an advanced athlete perfect a routine, Lauren strives to create a positive, encouraging environment where every student can succeed.

Outside of the gym, Lauren is a Registered Nurse and currently serves as the RN Supervisor at a cardiology office, where she enjoys caring for others and making a difference every day. She is married to Coy Whitehead. They have a precious little boy, Carson and are eagerly awaiting to welcome a little girl in September! We can’t wait to spoil her once she’s here!

Lauren is excited for another wonderful season and can’t wait to inspire the next generation of twirlers.

✨Baton Class registration is now open!✨

You can use the link below to register online and email [email protected] with any questions. We will have Kinderbaton, Baton 1, Baton 2, and Baton 3 from 4:00-5:00. Competition team will be from 5:00-6:00. *If you are a competition team member, you do not need to register online.
We can’t wait to meet new faces and see our veteran students soon! Look out for instructor introductions in the coming days!
