Chris Kostick is an artist in the central Maryland area who works in oil and watercolor, but experiments with other medium also.

Chris is a self-taught artist who practices his craft in the genre of representational art with a hint of impressionism thrown in. His use of vibrant colors give his paintings a richness and attraction that is treasured by many.

New tiny art! Sea creature themed. This is Sea Turtle and Seahorse, acrylic, 3x3. Seahorse is already spoken for and is meant for Jeni to place somewhere in the house.

Okay, so this is a day late and a dollar short. It takes a long time for me to do any paintings lately. “Lately” being defined as the last year. And it still puzzles me. It’s a pandemic, I don’t go anywhere. But still, time eludes me. Nonetheless, here is a late Halloween painting. This is called “Fear with Scream and Scratch”. I had planned on a companion painting called “Cheer with Giggles and Smiles”. Maybe for next year.

It's autumn and an orangey time of year so I reflected that in the latest prints at The Vine On Main in downtown Sykesville. Come to town, see Ridia, have a glass of wine (or beer) and buy a print. :) All prints are 5x7 matted to 8x10. Hi my people! I took a couple of days off work this week and guess what? I did a little painting. I know, I should have painted more but this time of year is especially busy in the Kostick household. Today is a watercolor. I don’t do limes very often. As the main subject, never; as part of the painting, once. I’m still on an acrylic kick. New painting that is reminding me of the warm weather to come. Mountain Stream No. 2. I realize I’ve had some comments about the lack of creativity in my titles.
