"Justice for the Epstein Victims!" has been accepted in the ArtPrize 2026 Grand Rapids MI event at Fountain Street Social Justice Gallery. It is is for sale, but my primary goal is to promote awareness of these horrific crimes and help bring the perpetrators and enablers to justice. This surreal collage is my 3rd work of art in the series, and the event runs from September 17 to October 3rd.

This month was the 10 year anniversary of the tragic Bangladesh clothing factory disaster. I made this reclaimed art piece, called "Greed Kills", because I was so saddened by the fires and factory cave in. It has been shown in Grand Rapids ArtPrize October 2016, the NIU Peck Museum of Anthropology social justice quilt exhibit on September 2017 and the Bridgeport Art Center Policy of Truth exhibit on September 2024. Some improvements have been made to the clothing factory working conditions since that time.

Searching for Black Madonnas of Western Europe, my presentation, will be shared on Friday, 5/7/26, 5pm at the DeKalb Area Women's Center. These sacred objects are associated with values of caring and sharing, healing, social justice, power and miracles. I will be describing my travels to several from Spain, Italy and France. Their history and reasons why Black Madonna following has been increasing will be shown in slides. Below is a wallhanging of the Montserrat Madonna I created in 2020. Admission is free and I hope to see you there!

In the early '80s I was driving to demonstrate microwaves on Saturdays and would turn on the AM radio in my bright yellow Chevette. Jesse gave his weekly Operation Push address on WVON and his delivery hooked me in. It really opened my mind to hear his point of view on race relations, women's rights and other social justice topics. Later on 9/5/2017, I was in an NIU Quilts and Human Rights exhibit and had the opportunity to meet him.

I will be presenting about neolithic peaceful civilizations
Friday, 1/9/25 at 5:30pm at the DeKalb Area Women's Center. The public is welcome to attend.

Title: Lost Goddess Cultures of Old Europe
The peaceful people of neolithic Old Europe existed from 7500 to 3500 BCE with no evidence of war. Learn about the life, art, innovations and Goddess religion of these interesting cultures including the Ukrainian Trypillia civilization. Their artifacts communicate with a symbolic language that the archaeomythologist pioneer Marija Gimbutas unearthed, interpreted and shared. Hear how the Old European cultural innovations are still influencing our lives from this slide presentation and discussion. Reasons why their communities vanished will be explored. If you are of European descent this is a chance to learn about your indigenous ancestors.

Below is an example of an early Vinca artifact 6000-3000BCE

Just finished “Justice for Epsiein Victims” in time to submit to Woman Made Gallery upcoming “Uncivil Canvass: Art in the Age of Discord” exhibit. The collage is on a wood panel, and I put my “rants” around the four panel edges:
-There has to be consequences for perpetrators and enablers
-When can women stop being second class citizens and control their own bodies??!?, -They were trapped and repeatedly r***d causing permanent emotional scars.
-(names of perpetrators and enablers too long to include)

Submitted this Baba Yaga pastel drawing to the "Something Wicked" exhibit at the Side Street Gallery in Elgin IL. Baba Yaga is a powerful Eastern European primordial Goddess that was changed to a witch after many centuries. I felt that power drawing Her with a new moon in the background.

On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else.
