On Friday our group worked on these stone bridges and water reflection. They were so pastoral, peaceful, and I'm so proud of everyone!

There is something about a slow drawing that lights me up. I find myself zipping through life most days, it's nice to slow down. She's large and may take awhile! 💙

June's watercolor will be a month of serenity! You can sign up for one or two classes at $25 ea, or all three for $20 ea! Classes will take place at 35:35 Makers Collective in Sycamore, Fridays at 10:30 am!

Oh my friends another wonderful event with Jenny Bergold of Light of the World Yoga and Laura Nelson Herra of J&R Herra Heating, Cooling and Plumbing!

The Sugar Mamas of Sugar Grove is a mom's group with monthly Mom's Night Out events and other fun kid-friendly excursions. We had an evening of watercolor, sound healing, and friendship inside the fabulously decked out J&R Herra Home Studio: A Craftsman Collective.

What fascinates me of course is the study of neuroaesthetics and how art making affects the body and brain! Art making lowers stress hormones, spikes your dopamine and other calming and happy-making chemicals which sounds like exactly what mamas of little ones need! Even if you are a beginner all the benefits are there.

We painted a mini project of a pre-drawn peony followed by a sound healing. As my youngest graduated highschool this year-it was fun for me to remember the early days of motherhood and feel it all come full circle.
