ANNOUNCEMENT:
Kate’s Studio will no longer be offering classes. As all of you know, time goes too quickly and you can’t get back what you already missed. As my children grow up, I am missing out on more and more events in their lives, which are irreplaceable. This family decision comes very bitter-sweet, as I have grown very close with many of my teachers, students and their families. I treasure all of the memories and fun times in the last 20 years of instructing. You all have been so wonderful and supportive of the studio and myself, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
As for the question “what happens next?”, there’s a lot on the horizon.
1. For you dancers that want to pursue dance (which I greatly encourage), Rena Ruiz, one of my former dancers/instructors, and a recent dance major graduate of Mesa State, will be moving back to the valley with hopes of teaching many genres. We may, if possible, be offering some classes through her (at the studio) in July. (I will post any upcoming classes offered on this page). Then, fingers crossed, she will be starting her own venture as a studio owner beginning 2024.
2. As for the current studio and myself, we will be forming a partnership with Andy Malott and Better Flex Fitness to expand the current gym to occupy both buildings. We are excited to offer a wide variety of equipment, training and classes. I am in the process of getting certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach in hopes to help anyone to reach their fitness/nutrition goals.
Thank you so very much to all the families, students, volunteers and supporters of the studio. You all have made my job thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding.
Kate
