The Piper of Sweet Home, David Brock

The Piper of Sweet Home, David Brock David Brock -a Bagpiper for all occasions. Authentic Celtic bagpiping adds dignity and a sense of ceremony to any occasion.

My cousin, Bruce Stewart, a piper living in Hawaii, has traced the family back to Alexander Stewart, the Earl of Buchnan, The Earl, more commonly known as the "Wolf of Badenoch" was not the sort of chap you would want knocking on your door, wanting to take out your daughter. He lived from 1343-1405, and his life makes for interesting reading. With this Scottish blood rushing thru my veins I final

ly found my way to the pipes in 2011, when I started taking lessons from another local piper, John Pierson an ex Air Force PJ, and a man dedicated to piping for his fallen fellow veterans. I later began taking lessons from one of the top pipers in the world, Jamie Troy, from Canada, whom is helping me continue my journey with the Great Highland Bag Pipes. RATES for Piping Services: The rates will vary from $100.00 for a simple service, up to $250.00 for more complex events and weddings. Funeral or memorials for veterans are provided at no charge to the family. For additional information, you may contact me at:: 541-233-8703, or [email protected]

A couple weeks back, I posted that I planned on piping at 3pm May 8th, in Ochoco Park, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, when Germany surrendered to the allied forces. I just want you to know that this was not an invitation to disregard any gathering or social distancing regulations. It was more to remind you, ask you to take a few moments this day and give thanks to the over 30 million that did not survive this conflict, in the European theater. Thank you, and be safe.
