Drama Board has paired up with Professor Quinn Bauriedel to bring you an exclusive in-person workshop to learn the art form of clowning! The workshop will take place over three consecutive weekends and will end in a cumulative performance.

Supplied with little else than a red nose and the body that each performer has inherited, this workshop will facilitate its students to explore their unique way of encountering the world, and will uncover the life-affirming absurdity of the human condition on this planet. Take a leap into the unknown territory of your own lunacy.

The workshop sessions will take place on the dates listed below and each performer is expected to attend all three sessions. If you can only attend 2 but are still interested please reach out to [email protected] and [email protected] right away!

Sunday April 11th 11:00-1:00
Saturday April 17th 1:00-3:00
Sunday April 25th 1:00-3:00

With weather permitting the sessions will be held outdoors in the Amphitheater!! Be sure to sign up below as slots will fill up fast :)

Drama Board began meeting in August far before the school year to figure out more tangible ways to support and uplift the artists of color on Swarthmore's campus. More specifically, we were inspired by the demands of the We See You White American Theater movement which calls for the dismantling of the racist and white supremacist nature of American theater. From our conversations over the summer and more recently, Drama Board is dedicated to promoting racial justice.
