🏁❤️ And that’s a wrap on our 2026 Carteret Speedway Kids Racing Camp!
What an unforgettable four weeks it has been! Over the course of this summer, we had the privilege of welcoming incredible groups of young racers who came eager to learn, challenge themselves, and make lasting memories.
Throughout camp, our future racers learned that success in racing is about much more than crossing the finish line. They developed teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, respect, responsibility, and leadership skills while learning what it truly takes to compete on and off the track.
From driver assessments and race car preparation to sponsorships, garage organization, tech inspections, racing simulators, obstacle course challenges in the go-karts, and even laps in the Bomber cars, every camper had the opportunity to build confidence, improve their driving skills, and experience the exciting world of motorsports firsthand.
A very special thank you to Mack Tatum for facilitating the camp and dedicating countless hours to investing in the next generation of racers. Your leadership, patience, and passion were the driving force behind the success of this program.

We also want to recognize our incredible camp team—Judy Smith Hailey, and Tracie Wade-Cronkhite—for their hard work behind the scenes and their commitment to making every week a success.

We’d also like to thank TW Stitch Chick designs for creating the amazing camp shirts that each camper will proudly wear as a reminder of their time at Carteret Speedway.
Most importantly, thank you to every parent who trusted us with your children. Watching their confidence grow, their friendships develop, and their love for racing blossom has been the greatest reward.
