Many of you will recognize this familiar face! 💚

Yesterday, we celebrated the retirement of our Parks Maintenance team member, Scott Brinkley, as he wrapped up his final day with Swansboro Parks & Recreation.

Scott has been the hardworking face behind the scenes, making sure our parks, playgrounds, and facilities were clean, safe, and ready for our community to enjoy. From keeping the splash pad running smoothly and sparkling clean each day to helping with countless festivals and special events, Scott was always willing to lend a hand wherever he was needed.

If you’ve ever enjoyed one of our parks, chances are Scott had a part in making that experience possible.

He’ll also be remembered for keeping the department laughing with his practical jokes—whether he was trying to scare someone or sneaking inflatable decorations into our offices!

While we’re incredibly happy for Scott as he begins this well-deserved retirement, he will be greatly missed and will be hard to replace.

Please join us in congratulating Scott Brinkley on his retirement and thanking him for his many years of dedicated service to the Town of Swansboro and for helping keep our parks clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Congratulations, Scott! We wish you all the best in this next chapter! 🎉🌳

🇺🇸 The flag is up, and we’re ready to celebrate! 🇺🇸

Join us tonight for our Independence Day Celebration from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM in downtown Swansboro!

🎶 Liquid Pleasure takes the stage at 6:00 PM
🎆 Fireworks begin at sunset

Enjoy an evening filled with delicious food, face painting, family fun, and so much more as we celebrate together.

For one of the best views of the fireworks, head to the bridge! A special thank you to the Swansboro Fire Department for closing the right lane of the bridge and helping keep everyone safe while they enjoy the fireworks display.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the amazing restaurants that participated and to everyone who attended and cast their votes. With so many incredible dishes to sample, choosing a favorite was no easy task!
